About Us

Roleplayers are masters of pretending, but despite our best efforts at disbelief, we grew up. We have jobs, families, and mortgages now. Our time has become precious, and thus we demand more from our games and our social experiences than we ever used to. We refuse to sacrifice quality, but we don’t want to waste time on rules and bookkeeping. We would rather spend it interacting with our friends and loved ones. We need both elegance and sophistication.

Print. Pour. Play.

Our games require little to no preparation. Just print an adventure, pour some drinks, and play.

Your Hosts for the Evening

In the early 20th century, before television and the Internet absconded with our evenings, people would dress up and gather at posh clubs or cocktail parties for socialization and entertainment. We roleplayers, by the nature of our hobby, are carrying on the core of this grand tradition. At Apathy, we embrace this culture, and invite you to join us.

Jeff Carlsen: Writing, Cartography & Layout

Jeff has been writing and running adventures since his voice broke, and will continue to do so until they bury him. He loves dark themes and cyberpunk, and dreams of a day when fedoras and smoking jackets return to fashion.

Hillary Crenshaw: Illustration

Hillary was blessed with a vast talent for anything artistic and a drive for perfection in her work. She embraces combat like her own child, and daydreams about zombies. To her, a little polished brass and clockwork make anything better.

Tyson J. Hayes: Writing & Technology

Drawn by an invisible hand to technology, Tyson explores the savage worlds of social media and the internet. Possessing a dozen voices, he plays a variety of potent characters. With him at the party, the room shall never fall silent.

Paul von Meerscheidt: Writing & Editing

With an eye for detail and a vicious red pen, Paul strikes fear into the hearts of all mistakes. Verbose and commanding, he runs games of grand fantasy and impossible scale. Most significant at the party, though, is the strength of his drinks, and his knowledge behind the bar.
