TPA Gets ENnie Award Nomination!
I woke up this morning and began my day by checking my e-mail and social media updates, as always, and found this nice little message from ChaoticGM (@ChaoticGM):
@ApathyGames Congratulations for the #Ennie Nomination of #tpa!
My morning brain was confused by the congrats, then woke up enough to point out the fact that I should probably go check the ENnie Awards website. My phone almost lazily pulled up this years nomination list. I began thumbing down, trying to find our name. It takes me two passes through the entire list to finally find it. There we were, in one of the best lists we can be in:
Best Electronic Book
- Cerulean Seas Campaign Setting (Alluria Publishing)
- Continuity (Posthuman Studios)
- Shanghai Vampocalypse (Savage Mojo)
- Temporal Probability Agency: To Predict and Serve (Apathy Games)
- The Running Death (Terminal Studios)
I then proceeded to wake up my wife, Eron, and start talking to her in super-fast, high-pitched voice that I’m sure sounded something like “omfgwe’vebeennominatedforanennie!!!!! omfg!! omfg!!111!!!”
To which Eron responded, “What’s an Ninny?”
“ENnie honey.”
“Right, what’s that?”
I sighed, then calmly explained to her that it’s like the RPG Oscars. She nodded solemnly and fell back asleep.
My excitement unabated, I write this post in a flurry of coffee and panic that our little product is actually playing in the big leagues. We’re up against some fierce competition, but I’m excited by our odds. I’m also excited to see Savage Mojo’s Shanghai Vampocalypse on this list as well. Which means Savage Worlds is making a strong appearance in this year’s awards. Best of luck to everyone, and thanks for the nominations.
*UPDATE* Space 1889: Red Sands by Pinnacle Entertainment Group is also up for two awards: Best Setting and Best Supplement.
