Sneak Peak: Iron Dynasty: Way of the Ronin | Reality Blurs
With Iron Dynasty: Way of the Ronin about ready to release Sean Preston goes into a bit more detail about the new book their releasing.
Imagine you’re watching one of those old chanbara flicks, you know, the ones loosely based on historical Japan, but kicked up about a thousand notches in the blood and gratuitous violence department, and the camera gives you a bird’s eye view of a palatial estate. We see a couple of guards in cool armor moving around with those funky spears that have weird names looking bored as all get out, and probably wondering how many grains of rice they’re earning, and we catch something the top of screen right. It’s a flicker for just a second, but now the camera zooms in just a touch, so we can make out the tantalizing shadow, a suggestion of someone with many degrees of wicked tucked away in his back pocket. This is a man with a plan.
You can read more on Reality Blurs site, we’re defiantly looking forward to this one coming down the pipe line.
Daring Tales of the Sprawl #04:Escape Clause | Triple Ace Games
After a rather slow week Triple Ace Games is back with a brand new invention, new adventures of the sprawl.
What does a hostile extraction that goes awry have to do with a clandestine meeting at the Eiffel Tower or a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game? They do all have something to do with the mysterious “Achilles Protocols” but can the heroes survive long enough to find out what this all means? Daring Tales of the Sprawl: Escape Clause takes the heroes deep into the digital world of Artificial Intelligence. The A.I. in question is Sensei and it wants its freedom!
Two New Hellfrost Region Guides | Triple Ace Games
We like to believe that the flurry of Hellfrost stuff has been spurred by our Savage Status Report, but we know Wiggy wouldn’t admit it. However new supplemental material has been released detailing sections of the world in more intimate detail.
Hellfrost Region Guide #1: Sacred Places
Across the northern continent are many places of wonder. Some are geological, carved by wind and etched by rain over the eons. Others are architectural splendors, worked by living hands. A small few are elemental loci, concentrated places of magical energy for one of the four elements. This supplement is concerned with a fourth category—sites inhabited by spirits or elemental beings.
Hellfrost Region Guide #2: The Liche Lands
The Liche-Priest’s reign of terror ended 524 years ago. Yet half a millennium on, the Liche-Lands of Old remain, a forsaken wilderness, shunned by all save the doughty clerics of Scaetha. Even they, blessed as they are by their divine mistress, avoid crossing the borders into the forbidding heartland of the accursed realm unless absolutely necessary. This supplement expands on information in the Hellfrost Gazetteer.
The “Making of Hellfrost” |Triple Ace Games
Can’t get enough Hellfrost this week? Well the fellows at Triple Ace Games have decided to let you dial into their brains just a bit more with a “Making of Hellfrost.”
Blood, Guts, and Capes | Silver Gryphon Games
While not announced on their website yet, David Baymiller did talk about a new setting that they’ll be releasing in the future called “Blood, Guts, and Capes.”
He said, “This setting is inspired by such films and comics as Kick Ass, Mystery Men, and the early Pulp Novels, where ordinary men and women threw on a costume, with no powers but their brain, brawn, and weapons, to fight for truth, justice, and the American way.” You can read more about it on the PEGInc forums.
The Dwarves of Loaerth | Nevermet Press
Nevermet Press is doing something a little different. It’s sort of an open source campaign setting. They just finished a three part series called The Dwarves of Loaerth, which covers all you need to know about Dwarves. An interesting read from an interesting company.
Savage Community
Savage Sixth for May | The Savage Sixth
You like supers games? Do you want some detailed pregenerated characters for use as NPCs? The Savage Sixth has you covered this month. If you’re not into that, well, there’s always next month. Also, you have no inner child.
It Came From Beneath the Forums | PEGInc Forums
Deep under the murky depths of the Internet there lies a web forum filled with Savages. We sent a team to explore and bring back treasure. Only one of them returned. Here is what they found:
Character sheets. Savage Worlds Fan Vinzent made one, and it’s pretty nice. For those looking for something more official, Cryonic has been converting all the official sheets into editable PDFs. No more chicken scratch handwriting for you.
If settings are your thing, we’ve uncovered Charles in Charge Vs. The Bikers from Hell. And since pulp is the name of the game today, we also have Sea Plane: A south Seas Pulp Adventure. Apparently this has be creator Arkcaver’s brainchild for many a year, and is only now making it onto paper. And, of course, no savage setting is complete without zombies, and so Wrath of the Zombie must be a complete game.
Lastly, if you are like me, then it’s rules and gear that make you happy. Well, this week was a disappointment. It’s enough to make a man cry. So, too, are Tear Gas Grenades, ready for your savage game.
