Savage Mondays – April 12th, 2010

It’s a Savage World out there, and Apathy Games provides the tools to survive it.  First, check out our Savage Worlds Primer. If you’re looking for more up to date news, here’s what’s happening now (this time with pictures!):

Super Powers Companion in Stores Now | Pinnacle Entertainment Group

Super Powers Companion Cover

The dead tree version of the Super Powers Companion has arrived at the Pinnacle warehouse, and copies should start reaching stores today.  This book contains an updated version of the rules for super powers seen in Necessary Evil, and a large collection of pre-generated villains for use in a campaign.

These supers rules are very handy for many types of games where special abilities exist.  Even if you don’t run a supers game, you probably want this book.  If your local game store doesn’t have a copy, beat them with a stick until they get it in.  Or ask nicely.  We hear that can work too.

New Shaman Rules Preview | Pinnacle Entertainment Group

Deadlands - Shamans Preview

It’s time to start the hype machine for the upcoming Deadlands: Reloaded reprint, which comes in two books this time, with some updated content.  Today, there is a preview of the new Shaman Rules.  It all looks rather inviting, and I’ll probably be picking up the reprint when it hits shelves.

Pinebox is to Become a New Official Setting | Pinnacle Entertainment Group

Degrees of Horror - A Pinebox Setting

Savage licensee 12 to Midnight has partnered with Pinnacle to bring turn Pinebox, their modern horror setting, into an official setting.  Not a licensed setting, but a big-name first-party product.  Pinnacle will be handling the production and sales, while 12 to Midnight continues development.

Yet More Space Lanes Action | Triple Ace Games

The Stealer of Light, the sixth issue of Daring Tales of the Space Lances, is now for sale.

Your players are hired to protect a famous actress while she films an exciting and dangerous holomovie.  This adventure claims to have great action and sounds like an exciting night of gaming.

April Edition of The Savage Sixth is Now Online | The Savage Sixth

This month’s Savage Sixth has been posted for your reading pleasure.  It includes the second part of Worldbuilding 101, as well as a collection of visual references for campaign inspiration.

I would like to take a moment to point out that Apathy Games often receives praise from this publication, which has only increased our appreciation of them.
