Thank you so much for the linkage to my blog posts! I've been having a blast tinkering with Savage Worlds, and I'm hoping in 2010 I get to put a lot of these ideas into play. Although I must advise my article about the Healing Surges wasn't so much a comparison as an explanation about why I morphed the 4E D&D Healing Surges into a SW-like Bennie System. But still, nothing is wrong about trying to carry the 3F! philosophy into other games right?

It's our honor to report great Savage Worlds ideas and news, so thanks for the great articles!

Let us know how they play out and we'll likely be posting links back to it again!

Nothing wrong with it at all. Honestly, my biggest problem with 4e is the number of resources you have to manage and the burden they place on the player. There are Daily powers, Encounter Powers, Hit Points, Healing Surges, Magic Item daily powers (tracked separately), Action points, and money.

while I wouldn't get rid of money, and probably not hit points, the rest really just represent how much “energy” you have to throw at things and could be merged into one resource, say Stamina, that you spend on difficult actions.
