Savage Mondays

It’s a Savage World out there, and Apathy Games provides the tools to survive it. First, check out our Savage Worlds Primer. If you’re looking for more up to date news, here’s what’s happening now:

Pinnacle Entertainment Group

  • Showdown is a conversion of Savage Worlds into a miniatures war game usable across genres. It’ll be familiar to any Savage Worlds fan, but it does have some changes for better handling large scale combat.
  • Pinnacle has a set of dice for Deadlands: Reloaded from Q-Workshop. If you like fancy dice, you have to check these out.

Savage Worlds Licensees

  • Triple Ace Games has a free Ace Tales adventure for Necropolis called The Best Things. You’re players will be evacuating the small farming community of Sumner when all hell breaks loose. They’re also teasing a very special update for next week.
  • 12 to Midnight is closing their online store come January 1st. If you want anything directly from them, do so quickly. Their products will still be available through RPGnow and Studio 2.
  • Adamant Entertainmenthas replaced their site with some new splash art advertising a new site coming in January. Not huge news, but cute.

Savage Worlds Community

  • The Pinnacle forums have a fantastic discussion about what Savage Worlds is not good for, as a method of better understanding it’s strengths, and how to do conversions.
  • For a little 8-bit era fun, user SlasherEpoch has a SW conversion of Super Mario Brothers.
  • Every game needs ninja. Newmarduk has created stats for Ninja’s of all ranks.

@Theron not a problem, would you mind providing a link to the conversion so all of us can check it out for ourselves?

I think that has to be one of the best conversions I’ve seen in a while, I really want to play it just from reading the book.

What I can’t decide is if it would make a great one off or if I would rather try to run a campaign. Great job on the conversion.
